The Lixinae of Australia

The Lixinae are a group of stem-boring weevils found worldwide. By world standards, Australia has a small fauna of the Lixinae—only nine species are known from the continent, and three of these have been introduced as biological control agents for thistles. Despite this small fauna, it is poorly known and most of the indigenous species are known only from their original descriptions.

This illustrated guide is the first work that attempts to provide tools for the identification of these species.
